Kiwi (Actinidia arguta) VITIKIWI

Frost hardy self-fertile mini kiwi variety. The advantage over the large-fruited kiwi Actinidia deliciosa is its good frost tolerance, which means it can even be grown outdoors in cold regions. The plant starts yielding very early, already in the second year after planting. Frost hardy down to -26 °C.

Vigour: strong, climbing, needs climbing support
Blossom: late May, parthenocarpic, produces fruit without pollination. However, growers' experience shows that when the male-flowered pollinator Actinidia arguta is present, the yield and size of the fruit visibly increase.
Fruit: smooth-skinned, length 2 - 3 cm, weight 7 - 10 g, cylindrical, flattened at the sides, light green
Pulp: light green, aromatic
Taste: delicious, sweet and sour
Harvest season: the fruits ripen at the beginning of October
Disease resistance: the variety is not susceptible to fungal diseases or pests
