Proven American medium-late nectarine variety with yellow flesh, high yield, attractive appearance and typical flavour.
Origin: Gold King x selection clone INFEL 3487, breeder J.H. Weinberger, Fresno, California, USA
Vigour: medium to strong, semi-upright to spreading canopy with good branching, tree grows healthily
Blossom: self-fertile, medium-late blossom period with high density
Fruits: attractive, medium to large, globose with significant suture. The skin is smooth and firm.
Fruit colour: yellow orange ground colour, up to 90 % red to dark red over colour, fruits colour sufficiently even in the shade
Pulp: intense yellow, melts when fully ripe, very juicy, freestone
Taste: rich, traditional nectarine flavour with a mildly sour aftertaste, refreshing and aromatic
Harvest season: medium late, ripens at the end of August
Storage: good to very good, good transportability
Yeald: high and regular productivity
Disease resistance: variety is resistant to leaf curl disease (Taphrina deformans) and pests. Suitable for organic or no-spray culture.
Frost resistance: hardy
