Persimmon Trees

Diospyros Kaki is one of the subtropical fruits and its cultivation is widespread in most of the subtropical regions of the world. Mainly in central and western China and Japan, where its cultivation has a very rich tradition. Persimmon can be classified as a subtropical plant with a certain frost resistance, which under certain conditions can also be grown in climatically cooler areas such as Slovakia.

The varieties are divided into early, medium early and late according to the ripening period. In the production areas ripen earlier, up to the second decade of October, medium-early ripening from the second decade of October to the end of the second decade of November and late varieties after the end of the second decade of November.
