Winter pear for commercial and amateur cultivation. The fruits attain an attractive yellow after storage. The variety only achieves its good taste after storage in warmer pear locations.

Crossing: Jules Guyot x Vereinsdechant
Vigour: medium to weak, loose and thin shoots, growth habit broadly pyramidal with medium-dense branching, pruning required relatively little
Blossom: cross-pollinate, suitable pollinators are other pear varieties
Fruits: medium-sized, 180 - 220 g, long-axed, bell-shaped to drop-shaped, yellow after storage, tinged with brown-red in good years, sometimes with light russets
Pulp: firm, juicy with a medium-strong aroma, melting when fully ripe, more sweetish
Harvest season: harwest maturity in mid-October, consumption maturity from from December, can be kept in cold storage until the end of March
Yield: medium high, regular, early yield onset
Disease resistance: highly resistant to scab (Venturia pyrina), low susceptibility to fire blight (Erwinia amylovora)
