Apricot that can also be successfully grown in colder regions because of its high tolerance to late spring frosts and its frost hardiness. With its orange marbling, it is an attractive fruit for the hobby gardener and the direct marketer.
Origin: chance seedling found in Müncheberg, Germany
Vigour: rather strong, thin shoots, medium branching density, spherical canopy, partly overhanging, good regenerative capacity after pruning
Blossom: medium late, diploid - self-fertile, good pollen quality
Fruit: 85 g, fruit shape flattened, elongated, slightly pointed, skin very slightly hairy
Fruit colour: yellow when fully ripe with orange marbled cheeks
Pulp: juicy, relatively soft
Taste: mild apricot aroma with a hint of almond
Harvest season: late July
Yield: regular, concentrated sorting on the tree
Disease resistance: no Plum Pox Virus (PPV) infestation despite high pressure of infection, medium susceptibility to shoot infections with Monilia (Monilinia laxa)
