Sour Cherry (Prunus cerasus) SAFIR®

Robust, very productive variety. The fruits are ideal for processing because of the dark and coloring juice and freestone. Due to its resistance to Monilia as well as its only medium-strong growth, it is well suited for the home garden.

Vigour: medium-strong, dense growth, forms a round canopy
Blossom: self-fertile
Fruits: very large, 6 - 8 g, dark red to black
Pulp : soft, juicy with dark, coloring juice
Taste: pleasant sweet and sour taste
Harvest season: mid-July
Yield: early onset, regular, medium to high
Disease resistance: only slightly susceptible to Monilia (Monilinia laxa) and spray spot fungus
