Japanese plum very valuable for its high frost resistance and very good resistance to fungal diseases.

Origin: one of the best known varieties. Was bred in the USA by crossing Prunus salicina, Prunus simonii and Prunus americana.
Vigour: strong, canopy spreading, well leafy
Blossom: moderately late, cross-pollinate. Suitable pollinator is another Japanese plum, e.g. Black Amber or Vanier.
Fruit: large, round, pink-purple to dark purple peel. Suitable for fresh consumption and processing.
Pulp: juicy, burgundy, very aromatic
Taste: very good, full, harmonious, rather sweet than sour
Harvest season: mid-August
Yield: high, stable and regular. Yield onset in the 3rd - 4th year after planting.
Usage: particularly suitable for gardeners due to high yields, high frost resistance and good taste properties
