Apricot Trees

We offer mostly disease resistant varieties of apricots which are also suitable for marginal cultivation areas. They are frost-resistant in wood and in flower, self-pollinating, which is an advantage in cold weather at the time of flowering. In addition, the buds sprouting is shifted as late as possible so that the trees do not bloom too soon, when temperatures could fall below freezing point.

Very important is resistance to Plum Pox Virus (PPV), bacterial spot and canker (Xanthomonas arboricola pv. pruni), brown rot of stone fruit (Monilinia laxa), shot hole disease (also called Coryneum blight caused by Stigmina carpophila syn. Clasterosporium carpophilum) and Leucostoma canker (Leucostoma cincta syn. Cytospora cincta)
